Kids Weekend Fishing Club

Improve Your Fishing will be running Kids Weekend Fishing Club on Saturdays at Bradshaw Hall Fishery near Bolton throughout the summer months, usually from the beginning of April until the end of September. These sessions are open to children between the ages of 7 and 16 years (this is a guideline and exceptions can be made). The sessions will be held at a local fishery where safety is our first thought. A dedicated section of banking will be set aside from other anglers and facilities will be close at hand. All fishing tackle and bait will be provided, all participants need to do is turn up with a packed lunch.

Learn about fishing and the local environment

Kids Weekend Fishing Club is about having fun, however I try to sneak a bit of education in too! We encourage children to learn about fishing as well as the local environment and they will come away from the day with new knowledge and skills having learnt about a species of fish or how to identify a type of bird for example. The sessions help build confidence in young people as well as giving them a safe introduction to a new hobby.

Parents and guests welcome

The sessions are limited in terms of numbers so we can guarantee each participant a high level of coaching and attention. The sessions cost £25 per child and take place from 9am until 12noon and often 1pm until 4pm. Parents or non fishing guests are welcome to come along too. We work to a maximum ratio of four children to one staff member. Booking is essential as places are limited.

** Unfortunatley since the Covid pandemic regular Kids Club sessions are no longer possible - 1 to1 sessions, small group sessions and dad and lad sessions are availble. Kids Club may return in the future.
